The United States Mint has minted a 50-cent coin commemorating the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. According to Armenpress, the country’s Ministry of Finance announced this. “We honor the memory of those who perished and remember the courage of those who risked their lives to save the lives of their fellow citizens. A quarter of a century later, we remain committed to our promise – we will never forget,” the ministry’s press service quoted Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent as saying.

The commemorative coins were minted in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They feature an image of the Statue of Liberty, alongside the inscription “Never Forget. 11.09.2001.” The coins are sold in packs of 20 or 100, priced at 40 and 100 dollar, respectively.
