A festive concert featuring artists from the Republic of Kazakhstan, “The Road of Friendship,” was held at the Magtymguly National Music and Drama Theater, as reported by the turkmenistan.gov.tm.
The event, which brought together representatives of the diplomatic corps, creative intellectuals, and youth of the capital, became a striking symbol of the strengthening of Turkmen-Kazakh cultural and humanitarian ties.
Artists from the Gaziza Zhubanova Aktobe Regional Philharmonic performed for the audience. The vocal ensemble “Dauys” presented folk compositions with a modern twist, and the group “Akku” presented choreographic performances reflecting the richness of Kazakh culture. A highlight of the evening was the performance of traditional terme singing based on the poetry of Makhtumkuli Fragi by soloist Oral-Kosai Baysengir, accompanied by a folk orchestra.
The evening’s program included musical tributes to Turkmen art: the author’s fantasy on the folk song “Bibidzhan” and the overture to Danatar Ovezov’s opera “Leyli and Majnun” performed by Nurken Ashirov. The concert took place in a warm atmosphere and concluded with thunderous applause, confirming the high potential for cultural cooperation between the two countries.
