From June 16 to 18, a delegation from Turkmenistan led by N. Agakhanov, Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan, participated in the fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum (TIIF-2026) in Tashkent.
The opening ceremony was attended by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the President of Albania, the Prime Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Belarus, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, and members of other governments, as well as representatives of the US business community and heads of international financial organizations, including the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, the New Development Bank (BRICS), the Eurasian Development Bank, and other international development institutions.
Forum participants discussed energy development, transport connectivity, the digital economy and artificial intelligence, mineral resource development, food security, and the improvement of modern financial mechanisms and investment instruments.
The participation of the Turkmen delegation in the forum reflects Turkmenistan’s consistent interest in developing mutually beneficial regional and international cooperation, strengthening trade and economic ties, and expanding investment interaction.
