On June 3, 2026, the Mejlis of Turkmenistan hosted a meeting between parliamentary representatives and experts from the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
The meeting focused on developing bilateral cooperation aimed at addressing the needs and ensuring the social protection of youth and women, as well as evaluating the outcomes of ongoing projects in this area.
During the meeting, the representatives of the Mejlis noted the activities carried out to improve the legislation of our country and implement international standards based on National action plans in Turkmenistan in the relevant areas.
The parties also emphasized the importance of organizing training seminars and study visits to adopt the IOM’s best practices, while further strengthening effective cooperation. (mejlis.gov.tm)
