The renowned Pushkin Institute has announced registration for the 22nd International V.G. Kostomarov Russian Language Olympiad. This year, organizers are seeking applications from schoolchildren aged 14 to 18.
Both students for whom Russian is a foreign language and those studying at Russian-language schools abroad are eligible to participate. To level the playing field and ensure the competition is as fair as possible, the competition program has been divided into two independent tracks. The first step toward victory must be taken by September 14, by registering online on the official “Education in Russian” portal.
The marathon of knowledge will be held in several stages, gradually weeding out the strongest. The online qualifying round will begin in mid-September and run until October 4, after which the best experts will compete in the online semifinals in mid-October.
The main intrigue will be resolved from November 13 to 19. Finalists from around the world will gather in Moscow to compete for the title of the strongest in person at the Pushkin Institute.
In addition to the thrilling experience of their trip to the Russian capital, the winners will receive a significant educational bonus. The top three winners in both categories will receive free tuition in a special three-week online supplementary education program at the Pushkin Institute.
