China has decided to extend its visa-free policy for visitors from Russia until December 31, 2027, in order to facilitate people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
Guo Jiakun, a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, confirmed the extension on Wednesday in response to a question from a CMG reporter.
Russian citizens holding ordinary passports may enter China without a visa for business, tourism, family visits, exchange visits or transit for stays up to 30 days.
Russia announced later in the day that it will also extend the visa-free policy for Chinese citizens visiting Russia through 2027.
