Culture Week, dedicated to Culture and Art Workers’ Day and Magtymguly Pyragy Poetry Day, concluded in the Balkan region. The closing events included a flower-laying ceremony at the poet’s monument in Balkanabat, the forum’s closing ceremony, a celebratory concert, and a summing-up of the cultural event.
During the ceremony, participants noted the importance of the creative forum for the development of national culture. The Week’s program included concerts, literary evenings, theater performances, film screenings, exhibitions, and creative meetings. A celebratory address from President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to cultural workers was also read.
During the event, it was announced that Culture Week will be held in the Dashoguz velayat in 2027. Following the ceremony, a celebratory concert featuring national and honored artists, folklore groups, and dance groups took place. The forum’s Challenge Cup was presented to representatives of the Dashoguz velayat.
In Ashgabat, a flower-laying ceremony was held at the Magtymguly Pyragy monument in the Magtymguly Pyragy cultural and park complex, along with a creative evening featuring cultural figures, artists, students, and the public. Similar events were held in the city of Arkadag and throughout the country’s provinces.
