Currently, the higher education system of our country is undergoing a new, historic stage of its development. “The Strategy for the Development of Higher Professional Education in Turkmenistan for 2026–2052”, approved by the Esteemed President Arkadagly Hero Serdar, has defined clear directions for modernizing the national educational model in accordance with global standards and training competitive specialists. The work carried out at the International University for the Humanities and Development to implement the tasks of this strategic document clearly demonstrates the successful fulfillment of large-scale objectives aimed at modernizing educational content and elevating international cooperation to new heights.
One of the key directions of the Strategy is to ensure the international recognition of higher education institutions and their competitiveness among the world’s leading scientific and educational centers. In this regard, specific tasks have been set to actively promote universities within global rankings.
To this end, our university is taking consecutive steps to expand international ties and academic exchange. A vivid testament to this is the expanding scope of our university’s cooperation with foreign scientific and educational institutions, as well as the signing – as part of the practical implementation of this new historic document – of Memoranda of Understanding via digital video link with the HAUS Finnish Institute of Public Management and Laurea University of Applied Sciences. These agreements provide a powerful impetus not only to enhancing the professional qualifications of students and faculty but also to implementing digital educational technologies and launching joint research projects.
In accordance with the action plan for 2026, active work continues across all departments of the university to digitalize the educational process, introduce innovative approaches, and deploy modern methodologies for foreign language acquisition. In particular, to ensure a strong link between science and the labor market, events aimed at developing students’ practical skills and creative thinking are regularly organized.
The “Intelligent Youth” competition hosted by the university, alongside regularly organized internet olympiads, demonstrated the high capability of our country’s student youth to speak foreign languages fluently and substantiate their views on a scientific basis. Furthermore, visits undertaken by our faculty and specialists at leading foreign educational centers confirm that management methods and institutional planning within the university are being continuously refined in line with international requirements.
Thanks to the untiring care of the National Leader, Hero-Arkadag, and the Esteemed President Arkadagly Hero Serdar, this path of development in science and education leads to the enhancement of qualitative indicators of human resources in the innovative progress of our state. The work carried out to successfully fulfill the action plan for the first year of the “Strategy for the Development of Higher Professional Education in Turkmenistan for 2026–2052” is widely covered in the mass media and by the university’s press service. Achieving these high objectives and broadly implementing modern innovative methods into educational, upbringing, and scientific-professional activities remain the primary duty and goal of our higher education institution. Every step taken by our university to successfully execute the first-year plan of this Strategy serves as a bright testament to the effectiveness of the state educational policy. These reforms, which expand the horizons of national education, make a significant contribution to the sustainable development of the country and the formation of highly qualified specialists for the future.
