The famous Japanese remedy “Muhi” for itching caused by insect bites has entered the Guinness Book of Records. It was recognized as the longest-standing brand in the world among the brands of household appliances sold without a doctor’s prescription. At a ceremony held on July 25 in Toyama, a representative of the Guinness Book of Records presented the relevant certificate to Kazuhiro Ikeda, President of Ikeda Mohando. This remarkable event took place within the framework of the “Muhi Hyakusai Festival” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the brand.
This remedy, which dates back to 1926, was originally created for workers in the silk industry, and is now produced in the form of oils, creams, liquid medicines and plasters. The company’s president noted that this success is due to the support of numerous consumers who have trusted the product for a century. It is planned to release special limited-edition products and implement joint projects in honor of the anniversary.
