More than 1,300 delegates from 65 countries have registered for the 31st International Conference and Exhibition Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan (OGT 2026), scheduled for 21–23 October at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat.
In response to strong international interest, organisers have extended the registration deadline for in-person delegates until 15 October 2026.
Held under the theme “Energy. Partnership. Progress.”, the conference will bring together representatives of national and international energy companies, government institutions, research organisations, technology providers and industry experts.

Major Energy Projects and Technical Innovation
The conference programme will address priority areas in the development of Turkmenistan’s oil and gas industry, including the next phase of the Galkynysh gas field, the TAPI gas pipeline and exploration opportunities in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea.
Particular attention will be paid to natural gas processing, petrochemical production, modern drilling and engineering technologies, digital transformation and artificial intelligence.
Energy efficiency, methane emissions reduction and environmentally responsible production will also feature prominently in the discussions.
The international exhibition will provide an opportunity for companies to present advanced equipment, engineering services and innovative solutions for the energy industry.

Expanding International Technical Cooperation
A notable development is the participation of more than 20 Malaysian companies and the establishment of Malaysia’s first national pavilion at OGT, in cooperation with the Malaysia Petroleum Resources Corporation (MPRC).
The pavilion will showcase expertise in oilfield services, offshore engineering, equipment supply and digital technologies.
A Malaysia–Turkmenistan Energy Partnership Roundtable is also under consideration, with the aim of exploring cooperation in engineering services, equipment supply, technology transfer and professional capacity development.
The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) is expected to contribute to the conference’s technical programme through a dedicated roundtable focused on professional training, technical knowledge exchange and the development of young engineers.
Dedicated B2B and B2G meetings will complement the technical programme, creating opportunities for direct cooperation between international companies and Turkmenistan’s energy institutions.
The 2025 anniversary edition welcomed more than 1,400 delegates from over 70 countries, demonstrating the established international significance of the forum.
OGT 2026 will provide an important opportunity to exchange engineering expertise, explore modern technologies and strengthen partnerships supporting the long-term development of Turkmenistan’s energy sector.
Registration closes on 15 October 2026.
