Entrance exams for higher education institutions have begun in Turkmenistan, traditionally attracting particular attention from young people. One of the most attractive universities this year was the Aba Annaev International Horse Breeding Academy, according to the country’s International Information Center.

The Academy trains specialists in nine fields across two faculties. Programs in physical education, sports, veterinary science, and animal science require five years of study, while the remaining specializations are undergraduate programs requiring four years of study. This academic year, the university is offering 150 places, 20 of which are in veterinary science and 15 in circus arts. Citizens of Turkmenistan with a secondary or higher education and under 35 years of age are eligible to apply and take the entrance exams.

Applicants to programs related to horse breeding and veterinary science must take chemistry, biology, and the history of Turkmenistan. Applicants to programs in equestrian sports, tourism, and national games must undergo a professional aptitude test, as well as exams in biology and history.

Future circus artists and professionals undergo a creative competition. The entire examination process at the academy is as transparent as possible. The classrooms are equipped with video surveillance systems and specialized software. The evaluations by the commission members are recorded and processed in real time, Entrance examinations at the International Academy of Horse Breeding will conclude on August 5.
