The French Institute in Turkmenistan announces the opening of the chess season and invites all fans of the intellectual game to join the new chess club.
Starting May 9, club meetings will be held every Saturday at 18:30 on the Institute’s campus. The project is being implemented in partnership with the Chess Federation of Turkmenistan and aims to popularize chess among a wider audience.
The chess club offers a space for friendly games and the exchange of experiences between players of various levels, an opportunity to hone your skills and learn new strategies, as well as an atmosphere of mutual support and passion for the game.
The club will pay special attention to beginners: if you’re not yet familiar with the rules of chess, experienced mentors will help you master the basics of the game and take your first steps towards mastery. Chess is a game accessible to everyone, and the chess club strive to create an environment that engages a wide range of people.
Knowledge of French is encouraged, but not required.
Participation in the chess club is free.
