On July 18, Turkmenistan’s Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov met with Elizabeth Rood, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Turkmenistan, who is concluding her diplomatic mission in the country.
During the meeting, the parties noted the positive dynamics in the development of Turkmen-American cooperation in recent years. They emphasized the important role of contacts and visits at the highest and highest levels in strengthening bilateral relations.
The parties discussed the current state of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United States, as well as prospects for further cooperation in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, and cultural and humanitarian spheres.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs thanked the Ambassador for her contribution to the development of partnership between the two countries and wished her success in her future professional endeavors.
The Ambassador, for her part, expressed sincere gratitude to the country’s leadership for the support and assistance provided to her throughout her diplomatic service in Turkmenistan.
