The WES community is calling for participants for its first social research study on “Social Networks and the Brain,” which will take place from July 1 to 30. Young men and women aged 13 to 18 from Ashgabat and all five regions of Turkmenistan are invited to participate.
The project’s main goal is to study how the use of popular platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, IMO, Telegram, etc.) affects the concentration, attention, memory, and cognitive abilities of young people.
Over the course of a month, participants will complete online surveys, cognitive assessments, and brain training exercises. The program will help teenagers master meditation and mindfulness practices, undergo a digital detox, and overcome screen addiction. All finalists in the WES-curated experiment will receive official certificates, the opportunity to volunteer in the community, and contribute to the advancement of Russian science.
