The world’s first electric vehicle museum has opened in Kingman, Arizona, USA, according to CleanTechnica. The museum, part of the Arizona Route 66 Museum complex, is dedicated to the history of electric transportation. The exhibits include both early electric vehicle models and modern developments.
Among the exhibits are cars from the early 20th century, including the Detroit Electric, as well as more recent developments, including experimental and record-breaking vehicles. The museum also features rare examples related to the development of electric transportation technology.
The exhibition was created at the initiative of private collectors. The museum is based on a collection of historic electric vehicles, first presented to the public as part of the Route 66 festival in 2014.
The museum is located on the historic Route 66 route and has become part of the region’s tourism infrastructure. An electric vehicle charging station is also located on the complex.
