President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree on the purchase and delivery of laptops to students entering first grade in comprehensive schools in the country in the 2026-2027 academic year.
According to the decree, the Ministry of Education is authorized to enter into contracts with the joint venture Agzybirlik tilsimaty and the business entity Aýdyň gijeler for the purchase of Turkmen-made laptops. Suppliers are also required to install the equipment in educational institutions no later than August 1, 2026, and ensure its subsequent maintenance.
The decree aims to create conditions for modern education, develop technological competencies in the younger generation, and train specialists proficient in innovative technologies.
