A delegation from Turkmenistan is participating in the “Partnership in Higher Education in the Turkic World” certification program, which launched on September 7, in Ankara, according to the country’s International Information Center.
The five-day forum brought together representatives of relevant agencies and academic circles from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Hungary.
The Turkmen delegation included representatives of the Ministry of Education and the country’s leading higher education institutions, including Magtymguly Turkmen State University, the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Research World Languages University, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, and the International University for Humanities and Development. Heads of Turkish agencies, the Turkish Academy of Sciences, and representatives of the diplomatic corps attended the program’s opening ceremony.
The key topics of the first day were higher education development strategies, global trends in education, and mechanisms for expanding academic mobility. Forum participants also discussed the role of the university community in strengthening humanitarian dialogue and preserving cultural ties between countries in the region.
