The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held a practical training session for volunteers who will represent the country at the upcoming World Equestrian Championships and the prestigious Akhal-Teke beauty contest, according to the country’s IIC. This major world show of the famous Turkmen breed will be held from September 4 to 6, 2026, at the renowned European equestrian center in Cronenberg, the Netherlands.
During the training, future specialists thoroughly examined the intricacies of diplomatic protocol, the basics of etiquette, and the procedures for meeting high-ranking guests. Particular attention was paid to the norms of international communication, greeting delegations, and the specifics of accompanying foreign guests to large sports arenas.
This large-scale educational program combined the efforts of three leading national universities: the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, and the Aba Annaev International Horse Breeding Academy.
The organizers’ primary goal is to train versatile specialists fluent in English and German. In addition to language practice and the intricacies of diplomacy, the intensive course includes lectures on veterinary science, the rules of the International Equestrian Federation, the basics of logistics, and the specifics of interacting with the media.
