Environmental security and combating climate change remain key priorities of Turkmenistan’s state policy. At the CICA Summit on October 15, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov called on countries in the region to join forces to ensure the rational use of water resources, implement green technologies, and combat desertification.
Turkmenistan’s proposal to establish the Ashgabat Climate Dialogue has become a practical step towards strengthening international environmental cooperation.
The new multilateral platform is designed to exchange best practices, harmonize national approaches to climate change adaptation, and develop comprehensive environmental solutions. With its broad expert and institutional capacity, CICA has the potential to become a leading platform for implementing these joint projects.
