Our beloved Motherland continuously develops mutually beneficial relations with the countries of the world and prestigious international organizations. The foreign policy strategy of our country attaches special importance not only to economic and political cooperation but also to cultural and humanitarian relations that bring nations closer together. International events, diplomatic meetings, and cultural programs taking place in various parts of the world stand as clear evidence of our country’s peaceful path.
In this regard, bilateral relations with our neighbor and brotherly country, the Republic of Azerbaijan, have recently been developing with new steps. A vivid example of this is the participation of Turkmenistan’s delegation in the 13th session of the World Urban Forum held in Azerbaijan. During this event, which focused on the sustainable development of modern urban environments, the implementation of “smart city” concepts, and the creation of ecologically clean residential areas, the Turkmen representatives provided detailed information about the large-scale projects implemented in our country, particularly the construction and innovative features of the region’s first “smart” city, Arkadag. This forum, which created broad opportunities for the exchange of experience between the parties, continuously strengthens the cooperation between the two countries in the field of urban planning and sustainable development.
As a continuation of this direction, it is worth noting that the historical significance of cultural relations between the two countries is becoming richer with new meaning and content. Recently, the successful performance of Turkmenistan’s “Galkynyş” National Equestrian Games Group during the celebrations organized in Azerbaijan became another triumph of these friendly relations. The Azerbaijani people, with great interest and warm applause, welcomed the wonderful performances and agile equestrian games displayed by the Turkmen riders on our noble Akhal-Teke horses. This successful tour and celebration of art not only introduced our national values to the world but also turned into a wonderful spiritual bridge that further strengthens the historical and spiritual bonds and friendly relations between the two brotherhood nations.
Such cultural and humanitarian diplomacy also holds great power in relations with other neighboring and regional states. In this context, it is important to highlight the recent visit of the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero Arkadag, to the Republic of Tatarstan. During the visit, the National Leader of the turkmen people held talks with the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan. The meeting focused on the future prospects of various areas of turkmen-tatar cooperation. During this significant visit aimed at strengthening mutual partnership, Hero Arkadag emphasized that Turkmenistan, relying on its permanent neutrality principles, is ready to actively participate in international cooperation for peace, creativity, cultural diversity, and sustainable development. This visit and its outcomes demonstrated once again the long-term nature of turkmen-tatar cooperation and the deep commitment of both sides to its continuous development. This serves as a testament to the positive international relations our country maintains with foreign nations.
Through these dynamic international engagements, Turkmenistan successfully demonstrates that true global cooperation is built not only on political treaties, but on the enduring bonds of cultural unity and shared human progress.
