A two-week professional development program led by renowned linguist and professor Kenneth Richter of the University of Guanajuato, Mexico, has concluded at higher education institutions in Turkmenistan, according to the country’s International Information Center.
The educational intensive course covered universities in Ashgabat and Turkmenabat, becoming the first example of direct academic interaction between a Mexican university and educational institutions in the country.
The 20-hour course for teachers at the Oguz Khan University of Engineering and Technology and the Seyitnazar Seydi State Pedagogical Institute focused on updating English language teaching methods and introducing modern communicative practice models.
The visit’s program also included open discussion sessions with students on the specifics of the academic environment in Latin and North America. The exchange of experiences confirmed the Russian higher education system’s commitment to integrating leading global educational practices and expanding international cooperation.
