US-Turkmenistan: Cultural and Humanitarian Relations Strengthening

In Ashgabat on June 8, the United States Ambassador to Turkmenistan Elizabeth Rudd hosted a reception in honor of Sarah Rogers, the US Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy.
Representatives of foreign diplomatic missions in our country, representatives of the media and public organizations attended the reception.
Speaking in Turkmen, Ambassador Elizabeth Rudd noted that this year the United States celebrates the 250th anniversary of Independence, and noted that the visit of Sarah Rogers, the US Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy, to Ashgabat on the eve of this important event was of particular importance. She said that this visit, in particular, will greatly contribute to the further strengthening of cultural and humanitarian relations.
Then, Sarah Rogers, the US under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy, made a speech and expressed her satisfaction with her visit to the capital of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, and noted that she had held very fruitful talks at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education and Culture of Turkmenistan.
Sarah Rogers, unlike other diplomats, noted that her mission is aimed at strengthening cultural and humanitarian partnerships, and drew attention to the growing interest in Turkmenistan and the Turkmen language abroad, especially in the United States.
She noted that they are working to further strengthen the common ground between the United States and world powers, noting that the common ground between Turkmenistan and the United States is the attitude towards independence.
Sarah Rogers said that this year the United States will celebrate the 250th anniversary of its independence, and that this celebration will celebrate not only the independence of the United States, but also the achievements of bilateral international relations established and successfully maintained with other countries. The guest expressed confidence that relations with Turkmenistan will be further strengthened.
