From March 11 to 13 a training course “Male and Female Leadership: Effectiveness in Interaction” for representatives of ministries and departments of Turkmenistan was held in Ashgabat. The event was organized within the framework of the project “Turkmenistan: Trade Sustainability and Integration”, funded by the European Union and implemented by the International Trade Center.
The specialized training was to develop leadership qualities and communication skills of civil servants, as well as to enhance the efficiency of teamwork management. Participants studied the psychology of leadership, critical thinking and decision-making processes. The practical part of the training participants examined real situations requiring the use of leadership skills to solve problems in the area of motivation management, delegation of authority and conflict resolution.
During the training participants defined their own leadership styles, identified strengths, and outlined paths for further development. Particular attention given to differences in approaches to leadership between men and women and the impact of inclusive governance on the performance of government agencies.
