On 21 August, the Delegation of the European Union to Turkmenistan kicked off its annual Back to School Campaign with a special event dedicated to supporting vulnerable families and children with disabilities. Collaborating with the public organizations “Keyik Okara” and the Support Center for People with Disabilities of Turkmenistan, the Delegation distributed 50 school supply packages at the Support Center, helping children get ready for the new academic year.
Adding to the festive spirit, the event agency Rishat brought fun and energy with lively animators, creating a memorable experience for the children.
This marks the fourth year in a row that the Delegation of the European Union in Turkmenistan has organized these donations — a clear testament to its ongoing commitment to inclusive education and empowering all children to learn and thrive.
Ambassador Beata Peksa, together with the staff of the Delegation, personally handed over the backpacks and school supplies. Addressing the children, she highlighted: Education opens doors to new worlds, and we are here to help you step through them. These school packages are more than just supplies—they are your tools for discovery, creativity, and growth. We hope every child here today feels encouraged to dream big and learn with joy!
