From March 17 to 19, 2025, an exhibition by members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and an international forum titled “Investments in the Future of Turkmenistan” will be held in Ashgabat, commemorating the 17th anniversary of the Union’s establishment.
As part of these events, an international fashion show featuring contemporary clothing will be organized for the first time. This initiative aims to draw the attention of the international fashion community to Ashgabat, a UNESCO Creative City in the “Design” category.
The event, anticipated to be a highlight of this year’s fashion calendar, will feature leading Turkmen and international designers, as well as representatives from foreign media. The international fashion show will showcase designs from the Fashion House of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan and fashion houses such as “Mehirli Zenan,” “Jennet Tagty,” “Mynasyp,” “Nagyshly Guzer,” “Golli,” “Aina Sari,” and “Ayperi,” all of which blend national traditions with contemporary styles.
Turkmen designers, who are preparing extensively for the event, express confidence that their garments, adorned with intricate Turkmen embroidery and reflecting the latest fashion trends, will captivate international designers.
The international fashion show will also present collections from leading designers from Italy, the Kingdom of Morocco, France, and the Sultanate of Oman. The event will receive broad coverage from prestigious fashion publications and broadcasters, including “Al Arabiya TV”, “Al Dubai Arabiya TV”, “Fashion TV”, “Vanity Fair”, “Vogue”, MARIE CLAIRE ARABIA, GRAZIA, HELLO RUSSIA, ELLE, and FASHION NETWORK.
According to the organizing committee’s program, foreign guests will have the opportunity to explore Ashgabat’s white marble architecture, inspiring them for future collections. The international fashion show in Ashgabat, during the vibrant Turkmen spring, is expected to generate significant global interest.
