Schoolchildren from our country achieved impressive success at the First Global Challenge, held in the Republic of Panama from October 29 to November 1.
The Turkmen team won a first-place diploma in one of the key categories, the Skills Challenge. This category evaluates how well robots perform individual autonomous tasks.
According to the competition rules, the robot created by our team completed the entire set of required tasks in just 50 seconds, scoring 54.6 points. According to the judging results, the Armenian team took second place in this category, and the representatives of the People’s Republic of China took third place.
More than 970 young engineers from 194 countries participated in the First Global Challenge 2025 international robotics competition, which has been held since 2017.
The “Oguzrobot” team, comprised of students from Ashgabat Specialized Secondary School No. 97, represented Turkmenistan: Ismayil Chyryyev, Emirkhan Gylychmukhammedov, Aznavur Cholukov, Shirmukhammet Gulov, and Gurbangeldi Orazgeldiyev. Under the guidance of experienced teacher Myrat Sakhetgulyev, the students prepared for this international competition at the “Kämil bilim” educational center.
This remarkable success by Turkmen students during the Year of International Peace and Trust is a clear confirmation of the priority attention being paid to developing the national education system at the international level.
