More and more people in Germany are turning to solar energy. In this regard, compact batteries that can be easily installed on the balcony of a home are currently in high demand. NIAT Khovar with reference to Kazinform reported this.
Solar panels have now become an integral part of the roofs of new residential complexes in Germany: large-scale photovoltaic systems on roofs produce electricity for homeowners, which can be used immediately, stored for the future or sold.
But tenants and owners who do not want to immediately invest tens of thousands of euros can also benefit from solar technology.
Small solar systems installed on balconies or terraces are becoming increasingly common in densely populated areas of Germany.
These balcony photovoltaic systems have caused a real boom in recent years. According to the market data register and estimates of the German Association of the Solar Industry (BSW), there are currently around 1 million “plug-in solar devices” in Germany.
One of the reasons for the high demand is probably the ease of installation and the significant effect on energy costs. The system can be installed manually and connected to a power outlet, although the panels are limited to a connected load of 800 watts.
When the sun shines, they supply the house or apartment with electricity: during this time, consumers receive less or no electricity from the utility company.
If you use devices such as a washing machine or dishwasher, depending on the weather, you can save a lot of money on your electricity bill at the end of the month. This can lead to savings of several hundred euros per year.
Thanks to the savings on electricity costs that balcony photovoltaic systems provide, these inexpensive systems usually pay for themselves in just a few years. That is why the Federal Solar Energy Office (BSW) is confident that there is no end in sight to the growth of plug-in solar devices.
The authorities are confident that the boom in “balcony” panels will shape the appearance of inner cities. The reason for this is the simplification of the use of such devices by requiring landlords to obtain a permit, which was introduced by the previous federal government.
