A football match between robots was held in Beijing, the Chinese capital. A total of four teams, each consisting of three players, competed against each other. Although such competitions have been held before, these robots moved completely independently, without any human intervention. Organizers say that this competition is a preparation for the World Humanoid Robot Games, which will be held on August 15-17 of this year. Equipped with advanced sensors, the robots are able to detect the location of the ball, direct it towards the goal and kick it. Even if the robots fall, they can get up on their own.
