The program “Accelerating the English Language Learning in Central Asia” (AELLCA) jointly with the International University for the Humanities and Development and the University of Westminster has been successfully implemented since 2024. The 1st phase of the program was implemented in the 2024-2025 academic year, and currently the 2nd phase of the program is being implemented. Within the framework of this program, working visits of representatives of the University of Westminster to our country were organized between 10-17 January.
Nowadays, the International University is holding training courses jointly for the Humanities and Development and the University of Westminster, one of the most prestigious higher education institutions in United Kingdom. A two-day training courses were held with the participation of teachers and students of the Faculty of English Language and Literature of the Magtymguly Turkmen State University under the leadership of the university’s professor Andrew Lynn Robert and Doctor of Philosophy Anastasia Bezborodova. Yesterday, the classes continued with teachers from the International University for the Humanities and Development. As we know, classes at this prestigious university of our country are conducted in English. During the classes, teachers who teach and conduct classes in English underwent professional development courses.
After the class, a half-day methodological seminar was held at this university with the participation of foreign guests and representatives of higher professional education institutions. The seminar, held as part of the project “Accelerating English Language Learning in Central Asia” (AELLCA), gave great importance to presentations on “Improving the pre-service training of teachers in higher education in accordance with international practice in learning and teaching English, and developing inclusive and sustainable approaches and methods.”
Representatives of the University of Westminster continue to teach students of the Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute. In addition, it is planned to publish scientific publications on the positive experiences of the joint work of the International University for the Humanities and Development and the University of Westminster as a result of the program “Accelerating English Language Learning in Central Asia” (AELLCA).
