A university delegation from the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan (SEIT) completed a working visit to Malaysia, which signifies a deepened partnership with one of its leading universities, Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), in the vital area of sustainable energy development. As part of the trip, Turkmen professors participated as a co-organizer of the IEBMC-2025 scientific conference, emphasizing the significance of our institute’s contribution to the development of international cooperation in the field of sustainable energy.
The IEBMC-2025 conference, organized by UNITEN’s Business School (UBS), provided a timely and relevant platform for exploring the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into sustainable business practices. It was themed “AI-Driven Sustainable Business Growth Strategies: Aligning Innovation with Global Goals” and brought together leading academics, researchers, industry experts, and policymakers to discuss issues related to how AI can drive progress toward achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The conference was held in a hybrid format, allowing for the attraction of a wide range of participants. For example, Oguldjan Akmyradova, a lecturer in the Department of Languages at SEIT, spoke online about effective methods for expanding vocabulary, including the use of various digital tools, which emphasized the importance of developing communication competencies for future specialists in the field of sustainable energy. Another presentation was given by Ayna Nurmyradova, a lecturer from the same department, who presented ecologically oriented strategies, including integrating “green” practices into business processes, using AI to monitor environmental impact, and developing sustainable business models aimed at minimizing carbon footprint and increasing corporate social responsibility.
IEBM-2025 also provided participants with opportunities to publish their research in reputable academic journals, including ASN Journals and the Scopus-indexed Journal of Advanced Research Design (ARD), contributing to the dissemination of knowledge and the global understanding of sustainable business practices.
During the working visit, the delegation held a meeting with the leaders of UNITEN. During the meeting, proposals were made regarding the capabilities of related higher education institutions, in particular regarding the exchange of students and teachers and learning from each other’s experiences, improving the professional level of teaching staff, teaching in professional development and retraining courses, and conducting joint research and project work.
The participation of the Turkmen delegation in the IEBMC-2025 forum, organized within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between SEIT and UNITEN, underscores the strong commitment of both parties to the development of international cooperation in the field of energy and related fields. This document provides a solid foundation for future joint research projects, faculty and student exchange programs, and joint initiatives aimed at promoting knowledge and innovation in the energy sector.
