As part of working visit to Turkmenistan, Melda Yildiz, Professor at New York Institute of Technology, visited the International University for the Humanities and Development. The first part of the visit consisted of a presentation and discussion with the faculty members of the international university involved in the digitalization of teaching and administration in education, artificial intelligence in education, learning platforms and educational technologies, as well as related topics.
Professor Melda Yildiz also held a seminar for students on the topic “Digitalization, IT and Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education”. The seminar was aimed at the application of STEM technology in the modern educational system. The seminar was attended by teachers and students of IUHD specializing in STEM disciplines – science, technology, engineering and mathematics. During the meeting, modern approaches to the application of STEM methodologies in the educational environment and their importance for the implementation of digital solutions and artificial intelligence technologies were discussed.
As is known, artificial intelligence (AI) technologies have significant potential for solving the most important problems of modern education, introducing innovative methods into teaching and learning practices and accelerating progress in achieving SDG 4, because the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies has a significant impact on the field of education.
At the end of the event, participants had the opportunity to ask questions and receive detailed explanations on the topics discussed. The seminar participants also expressed their gratitude to Ms. Melda Yildiz for an interesting and informative presentation. It was emphasized that regularly held seminars by international experts develop the potential and skills of Turkmen students.
