A brilliant victory achieved at the XXII International Zhautykov Olympiad in Mathematics, Physics and Informatics, held on January 10–14, in Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan.
More than 600 talented school students from 16 countries took part in this prestigious intellectual competition organized by the Republican Scientific and Practical Center “Daryn” under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. According to the results in mathematics, physics and informatics, 28 students representing Turkmenistan demonstrated a high level of preparation and won 16 medals.
The gold medal in mathematics was awarded to Hemra Gurbanov, a 10th-grade student of Secondary School No. 86 in Ashgabat, who honorably raised the flag of our country. Maliksha Meylismuradov (School No. 86), Murat Ruslanov (School No. 97) and Selim Hommatdurdiyev (School No. 135) earned silver medals. Bronze medals in mathematics were won by Seyitgeldi Hojamuhammedov (School No. 83), Sanjar Hojaniyazov and Soyunmuhammet Geldimammedov (School No. 49), Begli Ishanmuradov and Kumush Nobatova (School No. 86), as well as Begench Gummanov from Dashoguz (School No. 26).
Turkmen students also achieved high results in physics and informatics. The silver medal in physics was awarded to Dovlet Annamuradov from the city of Shatlyk in Mary velayat, while bronze medals went to Nurgeldi Annagurdov (School No. 79) and Aysenem Kakamyradova (School No. 10, Mary). In informatics, bronze medals were won by Hojamuhammet Hydyrov and Yhlas Annamuradov (School No. 86), as well as Kasym Kochekov (School No. 135).
The 1 gold, 4 silver and 11 bronze medals won at this prestigious international tournament are the result of the constant care of the esteemed President for the younger generation. These remarkable achievements became the first victory in the year held under the motto «Independent neutral Turkmenistan − the homeland of purposeful winged horses» further strengthening the international authority of the national education system.
