The International University for the Humanities and Development (IUHD) is pleased to announce a public speaking competition for students from higher educational institutions across Turkmenistan. The competition, held in English, commemorates the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality, and 2025 international year of peace, and trust.
The event aims to foster Turkmen youth’s interest in foreign language acquisition, enhance their linguistic and oratory skills, and cultivate students’ creative and artistic thinking. Participants will also develop their ability to articulate their thoughts effectively in a foreign language.
The competition is scheduled for April 29 at 14:00. Each university is invited to send one student representative. Participants will deliver a public speech in English, limited to a maximum of three minutes. Speech topics will be assigned via a random draw.
A jury will evaluate the speeches based on three key criteria:
• Content of the presentation
• Oratory skill
• Speech delivery and style
Winners will be determined by the highest scores and will be awarded diplomas of first, second, and third degree.
The deadline for applications is April 20.
