The Embassy of Japan in Turkmenistan announces the acceptance of applications for the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Program for International Students. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to study in Japan for free under the following programs:
“Research Student” (Graduate): For individuals born after April 2, 1991 and who have graduated from a university. The program includes a preparatory course in Japanese (if necessary) and further study in a master’s or doctoral program.
“Student” (Bachelor’s degree): For individuals born after April 2, 2001 and with 12 years of school education. Provides a one-year course in Japanese language and subsequent study at a university in a bachelor’s degree program.
“Technological College Student”: For those born after April 2, 2001 and with 11 years of school education. Includes a one-year Japanese language course and subsequent 3 years of study in the 3rd year of a technological college. Instruction is in Japanese.
“Specialized Educational College Student”: For those born after April 2, 2001 and with 12 years of school education. Involves a one-year Japanese language course and 2 years of specialized education at a college. Instruction is in Japanese.
The MEXT Scholarship Program aims to train highly qualified specialists who will become a link between Japan and Turkmenistan, contributing to the development of both countries.
The application period will end on May 30, 2025.
