Kazakhstan is aiming to increase the number of tourists and climb the World Economic Forum’s rankings for tourism development. To do this, the country plans to increase tourism revenues to 10 billion euros by 2029 and receive 15 million tourists annually.
“The government of Kazakhstan is developing infrastructure, expanding railway networks and introducing digital solutions. A new AI-powered app will simplify the booking and navigation process. The development of unique tourist destinations, such as Baikonur, includes the creation of hotels and children’s camps,” the report says.
The new airport, in turn, will provide access to the Katon-Karagay route, and a modernized railway with border control will make travel in Central Asia easier and more convenient.
