Yesterday, on June 18, meetings were held at higher education institutions in Turkmenistan with a delegation from Kent State University (USA), headed by Vice President Professor Marcello Fantoni.
First, the U.S. delegation visited and held a meeting at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss future steps for implementing joint educational programs within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding previously signed between the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Kent State University. In addition, the parties discussed sharing advanced experience in the development of university curricula that meet international standards.
Representatives of Kent State University also visited the International University for the Humanities and Development, where they met with students. The Vice President of the university, Marcello Fantoni, spoke about master’s and Ph.D. degrees at Kent State University and answered the students’ interested questions.
Founded in 1910, Kent State University is one of the prominent public educational institutions in the United States, known for its innovative approaches in education, business, and technology. It is worth noting that Kent State University has signed three Memoranda of Understanding with higher education institutions of Turkmenistan: the International University for the Humanities and Development, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, and the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction. These agreements aim to expand the range of academic programs, promote the creation of joint educational and research projects, and strengthen cultural ties between the two countries.
