The cultural exchange between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea is in full swing as the annual Korean Culture days commenced yesterday in Ashgabat. The two-day celebration, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, began at 17:00 at the Arkach Shopping and Entertainment Center.
The first day of the Korean culture day provided a dynamic immersion into Korean heritage. Attendees enjoyed engaging activities, including hands-on calligraphy workshops where they could learn to write in the Hangul alphabet. Other highlights included a popular “Journey to Korea” photo zone and a showcase of the beautiful Hanbok national dress. The event aims to strengthen the cultural bond and mutual understanding between the two nations, with admission free for all guests.
The cultural days will continue today, October 4th, with a high-profile classical music concert. Renowned South Korean artists, tenor Kwon Hwapyong and mezzo-soprano Kwon Miji, will take the stage at the Magtymguly National Music and Drama Theater at 19:00. They will perform in collaboration with the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan for an evening of inspiring and touching classical music. Concert entrance is free.
