AirBaltic will cease operations if it does not find an investor by June 30 of this year, local media reported, citing the country’s finance minister. The national air carrier of the republic has been experiencing severe financial difficulties for a long time.
Earlier, the government of the country offered a stake in the company to its Lithuanian and Estonian neighbors, but they reportedly refused.
In total, airBaltic has caused the state a loss of 620 million euros since 2009.
