Colonel Michael Randrianirina of the Madagascar army was sworn in as the country’s president here on Friday.
“Before God, the nation, and the people, I solemnly swear to faithfully fulfill my duties as the head of state of Madagascar,” he declared before the country’s Supreme Constitutional Court.
