The outstanding personalities who have made special contributions to the promotion of cultural, scientific and humanitarian values in the spirit of modern revival, strengthening international dialogue, and developing the cultural space in our neighboring country, the Republic of Uzbekistan, have been awarded the international prize “Legacy of the Future”. The prize aims to support and encourage outstanding personalities in the fields of literature, culture, art, science, education and digital technologies not only in their own country, but in abroad too. This international prize is awarded in seven categories: “literature”, “cultural heritage”, “theater and cinema”, “music and dance”, “fine and applied arts”, “fashion and design” as well as “science, education and digital technologies”. It helps to encourage the contribution of creative and scientific figures to the development of national and global values, as well as to promote cultural and educational development.
On November 15, the “Legacy of the Future” international award, held in Tashkent, the Republic of Uzbekistan, in the direction of “fine and applied arts”, was awarded to Babasary Annamyradov, a senior lecturer at the Department of Sculpture of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan, People’s Artist and Honored Elder of Turkmenistan. Babasary Annamuradov, a People’s Artist of Turkmenistan, who made a worthy contribution to the development of the sculptural art of Turkmenistan, is an artist who has mastered the best traditions of world and Turkmen sculpture since the 70s of the 20th century. The monumental and easel sculptures created by the great master entered the golden treasury of the fine arts of Turkmenistan. The artist devoted his entire life and talent to the Turkmen people and their homeland. Portraits of great personalities who left a great mark on the history of the Turkmen people, portraits of artists and cultural workers, projects reflecting the moods of world art, philosophical views, the consciousness, character, and rural life of the Turkmen people reflect humanistic values, high spirituality. The master’s passion for art, skill, determination, self-confidence, love for the Turkmen people and the Motherland can be observed in his works. The teacher transfers his life experience to students studying sculpture at the State Academy of Fine Arts of Turkmenistan, conducting them on the principle of mentor-apprenticeship.
Along with the monumental sculptures restored in various parts of our country, the sculptor is a master of small-scale works with deep meaning, unique in design structure, created in the national spirit. In the artist’s graphic works, the reflection of images and philosophical ideas in the sculptures continues, revealing a unique side of his creativity.
The prolific work of the sculptor Caliph has earned him state and international awards and honors. The awarding of the international award “The Legacy of the Future” to People’s Artist of Turkmenistan Babasary Annamyradov, held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, in the Year of International Peace and Confidence, symbolizes the strengthening of Uzbek-Turkmen cultural relations.
