On October 24, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Aba Annayev International Academy of Horse Breeding and the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine.
The signing ceremony of the bilateral document on cooperation in science, education, and innovative technologies was attended via videoconference by the Rector of the Aba Annayev International Academy of Horse Breeding Pygy Bayramdurdyyev, the Rector of National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine Vadym Tkachuk, as well as the representatives of these institutions and staff members of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Ukraine.
Prior to the signing of the document, a systematic preparatory work has been carried out, during which the Turkmen side was acquainted with the educational programs, technical and material resources of the National university of life and environmental sciences of Ukraine which has the Educational, Scientific and Production Laboratory of Horse Breeding.
By signing a Memorandum of Understanding, the Aba Annaev International Academy of Horse Breeding and the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine confirmed their interest in a long-term partnership.
Speaking at the event, Rector Vadym Tkachuk noted that the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine has all the necessary facilities for joint collaboration, including laboratories and stud farms for horse breeding and its development, and invited the Turkmen side to visit them.
In turn, Rector of the Horse Breeding Academy Pygy Bayramdurdyyev described the work being carried out in Turkmenistan in the field of equestrian sports and the efforts of the country’s leadership aimed at preserving and improving the legendary Akhal-Teke horse breed, developing equestrian sports, and the traditions of Turkmen horse breeding.
The Turkmen side invited the Ukrainian counterparts to participate in exhibitions and scientific-practical conferences held annually in Turkmenistan in honor of Turkmen Horse Day.
The sides noted that the Memorandum of Understanding will provide a strong impetus for the development of scientific and educational ties between Turkmenistan and Ukraine.
