On August 29, a reception was held at the Ashgabat Golf Club to mark the completion of Roman Gouverné’s mission as Director of the French Institute in Turkmenistan. Also, the new Director of the French Institute in Turkmenistan, Vincent Lorenzini welcomed who began his post on September 1, as reported by official website of the French Embassy in Turkmenistan.
Partners and friends of the French Institute and the French Embassy in Turkmenistan were invited to the celebration.
Previously, Mr. Vincent Lorenzini held the position of Head of Mission of the “Langues de France” at the Ministry of Culture in Paris. He already has extensive experience: he held similar positions while working in the cities of Baku (Azerbaijan) and Iasi (Romania). Vincent Lorenzini speaks Russian and Turkish.
The, addressed those present and noted that, starting next week, Vincent Lorenzini will also be supported by the new Cultural Attaché, Ms. Mona Lerondel.
“The creation of this new position is a clear sign of France’s recognition of the modernization of our cooperation in Turkmenistan and its desire to see this momentum continue,” Philippe Merlin stressed.
