Paris has been named the best city in the world for lovers of culture and art in 2025. This was reported by Time Out magazine, which surveyed more than 18.5 thousand residents of different cities around the world.
Participants were asked to rate the cultural scene of their cities in terms of quality and accessibility. The list included cities with the highest ratings in their countries. Then Time Out experts from an international network of editors and writers voted for their favorite destinations.
The final list included 20 of the most vibrant cultural centers in the world. It is noted that culture in these cities is not limited to museums and theaters; an important part of life in them are street festivals, night tours, public galleries and new forms of creativity.
Paris took first place in the rating. 96% of locals called the city’s cultural life “good” or “amazing”. The French capital also received the most votes from Time Out experts.
The city is home to such famous museums as the Louvre, Orsay, Tokyo Palace and the Francois Pinault Museum. Residents also rated seasonal cultural events highly, such as the Fête de la Musique festival and the summer Cinema en Plein Air screenings in Parc de la Villette.
