A delegation consisting of representatives of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Turkmenistan, the Tourism Secondary Vocational School in Ashgabat and the Ashgabat Construction Secondary Vocational School participated in the regional conference within the framework of the European Union’s European Education Foundation “Dialogue and Action for Talented Youth in Central Asia” (DARYA) project, held in Turin, Republic of Italy, from December 2 to 4, 2025.
Within the framework of the regional conference, presentations were made on the processes of skills development in Central Asia, the provision of education based on labor market requirements, and their assessment, as well as the features of studying formal and non-formal education methodologies.
As a result of the presentations of international experts from the European Education Foundation, several experiences related to the recognition of professional skills were taught through examples. Drafts of professional standards prepared in Central Asian countries were considered, several comments were made, and a number of Italian and French methodologies were described on ways to improve curricula and programs in accordance with the requirements specified in the project. The experience of developing, managing and registering qualifications in Italy (national level), the Piedmont region of Italy (regional level) and France was presented.
The conference was held at the Toolbox business and training center in Turin and included presentations by international experts on the Atlante del Lavoro e delle qualificazioni, the INAPP research institute, the France Compétences organization on professional qualifications and the work of the French agency for vocational training, AFPA.
