President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has completed his state visit to Mongolia. This was reported by the official news agencies of Turkmenistan

According to news, during the meeting 14 documents were signed aimed at strengthening bilateral relations in the trade and economic sphere, as well as in the fields of light industry, science, education, culture and healthcare. This complements the package of agreements concluded during the visit of the President of Mongolia to Turkmenistan in 2024, including documents on air and road communications, cooperation in animal husbandry and veterinary medicine.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the talks with his Mongolian counterpart were held in a trusting atmosphere with discussion of all key areas of interaction and exchange of views on current issues of international politics. The parties confirmed their intention to continue cooperation within the UN and other international structures.

Trade and economic partnership was given priority in the negotiations. The head of Turkmenistan noted the prospects of combining efforts to achieve transport connectivity and create transcontinental corridors from Asia to Europe, emphasizing the importance of the Turkmen initiative “Revival of the Great Silk Road”.

The President of Mongolia congratulated the Turkmen side on the upcoming 30th anniversary of the UN recognition of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality status. Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in turn, expressed gratitude for Mongolia’s support for Turkmenistan’s neutrality and the country’s international initiatives.

During the visit, the President of Turkmenistan also met with the Chairman of the State Great Khural (Parliament) of Mongolia, Dashzegviin Amarbayasgalan.

At the end of the visit, Serdar Berdimuhamedov departed from Buyant-Ukhaa International Airport in Ulaanbaatar and arrived in Ashgabat a few hours later, where he was met by officials.
