The Chairman of the Football Federation of Turkmenistan Guvanchmukhamed Ovekov and the FFT Secretary General Serdar Geldiyev took part in the FIFA 2025 Executive Football Summit in Miami (USA), as reported TFF.
The event brought together FIFA management, representatives of six continental confederations, and national football associations from around the world. The summit focused on key areas of development in world football.
The main topics discussed included digital transformation, including the widespread introduction of the FIFA Connect player registration system, the development of women’s football, the modernization of youth football programs and infrastructure. Moreover preparation for upcoming international tournaments, including the updated format of the Club World Cup.
Particular attention was paid to the global FIFA Arena program, within the framework of which modern mini-football pitches are being installed in different countries around the world. The project is aimed at creating more opportunities for children and young people to play football, as well as developing grassroots football.
The Football Federation of Turkmenistan has expressed interest in participating in the FIFA Arena program and is considering the possibility of its implementation in Turkmenistan.
