A representative of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan together with colleagues from the Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan participated in a study visit to Germany from August 24 to 30, customs.gov.tm reported.
The event was organized within the framework of the regional project “Trade Facilitation in Central Asia” (TFCA), implemented by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).
The program of the visit, which was devoted to studying Germany’s experience in logistics and supply chain management, included visits to leading German companies: Rhenus Group (Duisburg), Henkel HCB Logistics (Dusseldorf, Holthausen), Pfenning Logistics, Emons, BLG Logistics and Am Zehnhoff-Söns.
Modern methods of warehousing, multimodal logistics and sustainable development were studied. Particular attention was paid to digitalization, process automation and environmentally friendly technologies.
Turkmenistan’s participation in this event also allowed for the establishment of close working contacts with colleagues from Central Asian countries.
