President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with John Reese, CEO of Nicklaus Companies, during a working visit to the United States.
The sides discussed prospects for cooperation and emphasized the importance of the Turkmen leader’s visit for strengthening business ties between the two countries.
The President noted that the upcoming Turkmen-American business forum would create conditions for exchanging views on promising projects and investment issues.
The parties emphasized that the development of sports and tourism remains a priority for Turkmenistan. The President spoke about the creation of a modern sports and tourism infrastructure that meets international standards.
Reese noted the high level of sports facilities in Turkmenistan and the country’s role in promoting peace through sports.
The President emphasized that Nicklaus Companies, with extensive experience in golf infrastructure design, is a reliable partner. He cited the example of a golf club in Ashgabat, built with the company’s participation and meeting international standards.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov confirmed Turkmenistan’s readiness to consider new investment projects with American partners.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed interest in further developing cooperation aimed at developing golf infrastructure and popularizing this sport in Turkmenistan.
