Students of the International University for the Humanities and Development are attending courses on Italian language and culture at the University for Foreigners of Perugia (Italy) from June 28 to August 2. The series of lectures is being held upon invitation of the Italian university in order to strengthen inter-institutional cooperation between the two countries.
The University for Foreigners of Perugia (Università per Stranieri di Perugia) is one of two in the entire country that has opened its doors exclusively to foreign students. It is the oldest and most prestigious university in Italy, where they not only teach and research, but also promote the Italian language and culture. The University of Perugia is a comprehensive educational institution for foreigners, where one can get a higher education, as well as take Italian language courses and receive a certificate.
The opportunity for Turkmen youth to improve their skills in learning Italian is not just the ability to communicate, but also to immerse themselves in the culture and history of the country. Knowing Italian will allow students to gain a deeper understanding of Italian history, literature, art, and cinema. This will not only enrich their education, but will also provide an opportunity to enhance their personal experience. Acquaintance with a new language and culture also broadens horizons and enriches the inner world.
Studying Italian culture includes acquaintance with art, music, cuisine, lifestyle, traditions and values, as well as language. For a deeper understanding, it is recommended to study the history of Italy, art, literature, and cooking, as well as communicate with native speakers and immerse themselves in the cultural environment.
In turn, students of the International University for the Humanities and Development also share with their peers information rich in the historical and cultural heritage of our country, which contributes to cultural exchange and positive dialogue.
