From April 20 to 22, ITMO University of the Russian Federation held a mathematics competition among university students from eleven Northern countries. Three hundred fifty-one students from higher education institutions in the Russian Federation, Turkmenistan, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, as well as the Republic of Senegal and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, participated in this prestigious competition.
Students from higher education institutions in our country won seven gold and nine silver medals in the individual category. The gold medalists were Shabibi Nurzhanova, Hajimuhammet Atayev, and Orazguly Gylyjov, all students of Magtymguly Turkmen State University; Muhammet Annayev and Mergen Meredov, students of the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan; Selbi Ruslanova, a student of the International University for the Humanities and Development; and Gulowser Gylychmammedova, a student of the Oguz Khan University of Engineering and Technology of Turkmenistan.
The silver medalists were Rahmet Penjiyev and Kerim Toylyyev, students of the International University for the Humanitarian Sciences and Development; Dovletgeldi Shakirjanov, a student of the Oguz Khan University of Engineering and Technology of Turkmenistan; Yslam Hayytmuhammedov, a student of the Yagshigeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University; Begench Saparov, a student of the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management; Gurtgeldi Khanov and Myrat Janmyradov, students of the Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute; Batyr Ovezmyradov, a student of the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction; and Bayram Turaev, a student of the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan.
In the team competition, the team from Magtymguly Turkmen State University took first place, the team from the State Institute of Energy of Turkmenistan took second place, and the team from the International University for the Humanities and Development took third place.
